Travel back to ancient Egypt on this private tour and visit some of the most popular historical sites in Luxor, Egypt. Learn about the history of the Valley of the Nobles and the Medina Hab of Deir Medina as you explore with your own Egyptologist guide.
Start your tour with pickup from your hotel and travel to the West Bank of Luxor.
Arrive first in Medine Hab, where you will find the burial of Ramses III, one of the most important religious monuments in the city. The entrance to Medinet Habu is 63 meters wide and 22 meters high, and is a portrait of the pharaoh himself.
Then continue to the Mausoleums of the Nobles, where you’ll find more than 500 tombs belonging to members of the Egyptian nobility.
Visit some of the mausoleums and admire their decorations. These mausoleums tend to be better preserved than royal tombs due to their less appeal to tomb robbers.
Then follow your guide to the final stop of your tour of Deir el-Medina, an ancient Egyptian village home to artisans who worked in the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel or selected location.
