We pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada for your day trip and one of our guides (who will be holding a sign with your name) will accompany you on this tour. A two-hour journey in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle awaits you. As you approach the Monastery of St. Anthony the first monastic complex of the day you realize that you are in the heart of the desert. More than 1600 years ago this was the home of Anthony the hermit who lived in a cave at an altitude of about 680 meters Live above sea level. Steep stairs with about 1000 steps lead there. Climb the Sage’s Grotto and admire his writings and paintings while enjoying sweeping views of the mountains and desert to the sea right in front of you. After lunch we will drive through the rugged valley to visit St Paul’s Monastery. It was built over the cave of the Saint also a Christian hermit who died here around the 4th century AD. After visiting the location we will take you back to Hurghada where you will arrive at your hotel in the evening.
